Die Pfarrkirche

The Church is sanctified to "Johannes dem Täufer" and built up in 1755 by the plans of Johann Michael Fischer.

Its now called the "Perle im Gau" (pearl of this area).

School opened in 1958 and has been renovated in 1997. Located classes: 1-4

Bishop Friedrich Karl of Schönborn layed the foundation stone in 1743. From 1893 to 1896 the church was renovated and redecorated by Franz Wilhelm Driesler (Painter, Sculptor, Gilder). In 1894 a new high altar and communionbank has been implemented in the same style.

The Churchtower was built in the 13th century. Thick walls tell you about the defence and asylum behind.

Since Middle Ages the church became a place of pilgrimage (Hl. Jungfrau Maria) for pregnant women and children.
